Q: What are some good websites with car reviews?
Looking on buying a pre-owned car and need to research reviews on some options. Any helpful websites would be appreciated.
A: NADA.com
It’s good to find reviews, value, actual cash value based on your area and types of retail prices the vehicle is going for.
Q: Where are the Japanese car reviews in this segment?
After reading these reviews, it seems that all of these domestic cars were given a good rap. I mean talk about being biased. How about the test drive numbers? Safety and impact ratings? Will dashboard panels and exterior panels typically fall off after two years with these cars? Will a majority of these domestic cars end up in mechanic shops periodically around the nation like always. Shops such as Meineke between 8,000 – 15,000 miles at the end of this year? Things like that. The designs and performance are one thing, but how about reliability. I most definately will not receive a response back about this. However if so, I would definately want a side by side comparison with numbers and an unbiased review to be included with the response. Thanks so much.
A: Most American cars aren’t that American to begin with, so buy what you want, it’s your money.
If you are seeking for the “best car” on the market, buy a bicycle.
There is no best car on the market because the market has millions of consumers, all of which have their own idea, preference, or opinion of the “best car”. Last time I checked, there were not millions of auto manufacturers out there.
As far as reliability, repairs etc. Foreign cars cost more to repair. A Chevy in Germany costs more to repair and maintain than a Volkswagon, just like the same Volkswagon here in the US costs more to repair or maintain than the Chevy.
The more exotic it is, the more it costs and costs to repair or maintain. No matter who made it or where it came from.
Most of the automakers share a lot of components anyways, so it is becoming all the same.
From your question, it sounds like you have blinders on. Do you want the domestic cars to be given a “bad rap”?
For years, “foreign cars” in the US were said to be of better quality and engineering than US cars. It may have been true to some degree, but the US auto industry has improved a lot over the years in order to stay in the game. Even going as far as using foreign parts in domestic vehicles. You would be amazed at who is swapping parts with who.
So ultimately it is all the same. Buy what you like or want, and enjoy it. If you buy something you don’t like, get something else. In a few years you may even be able to buy a car “Made In China”.
Q: I need to find consumer car reviews?
I would like to find reviews from actual drivers of hybrids and bio-diesel cars. Where can I go on the internet to do this?
A: www.edmunds.com and then look up the consumer reviews of the individual cars/trucks for which you want to research this information.
Q: What websites can I get good car reviews on?
I am looking for websites to see long in depth reviews of scion tcs. Preferably ones I can watch on my iPod. Thank you.
A: go to edmunds.com they give their reviews along with owners reviews, log on and click new cars and if looking for a car clcik on sedan and they all come up in alphabetical order, scroll down till you find scions and click on that and will give you all the info you want.
Q: If i were to star a website with car reviews what would you like to know?
if i stated a website doing car reviews and i test drove a car what would you want to know about that car what does the buy (you) want to know about the car?
A: I think something that alot of review sites lack, is the ability to accuratly determine a car’s reliability. I mean, it’s a new car. how do we know the reliability? We don’t. At best, the tester can venture a guess based on what they think of the brand and the feel of the car, but lets be honnest, every car feels good when it’s new. I would say perhaps you could tap into the used car market and review cars that are 5 years old? you would be able to list the problems, people could write with known issues. From there you could draw parallels to any new brands. Likewise, when you test new cars you could test one again in 5 years, and perhaps again at 7 or 10 when repairs start to become an issue. Perhaps have members to log or report on their cars at yearly intervals? Just some ideas, the only way to get a true idea of how cars hold up is to test over time. This information would give good evidence to where the specific car might stand for the new brands. and it would also be useful for those in the used car market (which is HUGE! but doesn’t really have a review site…hmm…) Just think how many people on Yahoo answers alone ask “is this a good first car” or “should i get this car” almost always, they are used.
Q: Best place to find reliable car reviews?
I’m not buying soon, but I want to be informed when I do buy. So where are some of the best reliable sources for car research? There seems to be a lot of crap on the internet so I find it hard to rely on, but I know there must be some good places out there.
A: Edmunds.com cars.com autotrader.com
some of these websites offer links as well as there own reviews for New and Used Autos.
Also, if you are wanting to find some general info on values,
edmunds.com, nada.com, and kbb.com are excellent guides to finding a vehicles value.
Remember, they are only guides not “Definite Value’s”
Mileage, Condition, model and Market value determine the cars “Actual Value”.
Hope this helps

Q: Please give me some quotes about Lexus from car reviews?
I’m looking for some really good quotes about Lexus from some car reviewers over the years.
A: Here are a few select quotes from various reviewers.
“The driver’s seat should be singled out for praise too. It’s like sitting on a sumo wrestler. Couple that to the gearbox, which changes so smoothly you cannot feel the shifts, and you have a car that can be compared to the Rolls-Royce Phantom.” – Jeremy Clarkson, reviewing the LS460 L.
“People keep saying Lexii are bland. Truth is, they’re new and not flawed. The LS600h may be boring to drive, but it’s very cool.” -Top gear website, unknown author.
“Not only is this car more refined than a Rolls Royce, it’s also one of the best specified cars in the world” – Quentin Wilson, reviewing the 1997 LS400.
“If there is such a thing as better than the LS460, the LS600h is it. Not built but hewn. Not made but forged. If all cars were built this well, the car business would cease to exist because no-one would ever need a new car” – Top Gear website, unknown author.
“Judged purely as an adrenaline-inducing performance tool, the Lexus tops a number of supercars I’ve driven — not just the similiarly priced Lamborghini Murciélago, but also the $1.3 million Bugatti Veyron.” – Lawrence Ulrick, New York Times review of the LFA.
Q: Which automotive websites should I refer to for the most objective and reliable car reviews?
A: READ REVIEWS FOR EVERYONE YOU CAN GET YOUR HANDS ON– EVERYONE NO MATTER WHAT HAVE SOME BIASES. CONSUMER REPORTS WILL GIVE YOU THE REAL NUTS AND BOLT BUT THEY LACK PASSION TOWARDS THERE REVIEWS OF THE CARS. READ EVERYTHING YOU CAN AND COME TO A CONSENSUS OF ALL THAT YOU HAVE READE.
Q: Car reviews about reliability and etc similar to Consumer Guide?
I need somthing similar to that dont tell me a website like edmunds or kbb as they arent what i am looking for
A: Consumer reports is the best. Nothing else compares.
Q: Reading reviews on edmunds.com- many good, some bad, how to choose which car?
I’m looking up reviews on cars and some have great reviews with some bad ones. How do you really know when buying a used car you won’t get stuck with a piece of crap? Any advice?
A: have it checked out by a mechanic before you buy
Q: what is the best website for car reviews?
im getting a car and im using a bunch of websites for research but how do i know which website is the best website to use?
A: Consumer Report
Q: Used car reviews:: good gas mileage, reliable, cheap parts?
I’m looking for some online comparisons/reviews of used small cars. I’m thinking Honda Civic or Accord, Toyota Camry, etc., but what else is out there that I might be interested in? Gas mileage is my main focus.
A: These are great cars. You may also consider the Saturn S series – if you want a car a few years old. Saturn makes a good car. Nissan does too — Altima, Maxima, etc. I don’t think you can beat a Civic or Corolla on fuel economy & reliability. Both are tops in this category.
Q: Good free website for car reviews?
I need a free website with car reviews, that lets you choose make and model.
A: kelly blue book
