i see most car pictures (pre-owned), specifically on selling sites with plate numbers covered, why do they have to?
A: to prevent tracing the owner/location of the vehicle…..prevents theft of the vehicle from the owner and possible vandalism…..

A: Try putting a few of them on to Ebay. There are millions of viewers, and you will be able to tell how many hits, and watchers there are on each listing. I started using Ebay alot more, and there is somebody for everything listed. Good Luck and have fun watching them sell, for cash.

From ignition to movement. I have looked at a thousand websites. I want to know what happens through the whole process of working a car.
A: Go to the auto parts store and purchase either a Chilton’s manual or a Hane’s manual for the car you have. The ignition is turned and sends power to the solenoid that powers the starter thus turning the flywheel which turns the engine over when a cylinder is compressed it is sent a spark from the spark plug thus igniting the fuel in that cylinder.The explosion of the ignited gas pushes the cylinder down thus turning the crankshaft. When the crankshaft turns it applies the force needed to turn the transmission. The transmission then powers the wheels to turn thus moving the vehicle.

i need places with good views to take my car pictures at, know anywhere in mind around southern california? good lighting, mountain, water, night, day, beach, etc….
A: A good neutral background with no distracting objects around the car is what you need.
Taking photos from the front corner of your car is a popular and good/dynamic angle to take pictures of your car.
The beach is also very good if you can get an area to yourself with nothing else in the frame.
The better times of the day is with the low light of mornings and nights. Avoid midday sun which is unflattering to people and cars. good luck.

Q: Insurance company refuses to expenses since car pictures weren’t taken?
I got comprehensive insurance, 10 days later my car crashed. The insurance company is now claiming that I should have gotten car inspected/picture taken within 7 days (and claim they sent me a letter stating the same) and they are now refusing to pay for the damages. They said the “full collision” provision is invalid now. Didn’t get any written notice from them when they suspended my insurance. Can I sue them?
A: Typically when you sign up for insurance it will say on the papers you sign and they will also tell you verbally to bring the car in for inspection. This is so no one can claim you had prior damage if someone were to hit you. If you neglected to do that, and you only had 7 days grace period, they are perfectly within their rights to refuse to cover you and to drop your coverage. Can you sue them? Of course, and you might even find an attorney willing to take your money and do so. Can you prevail in your suit? No.

A: These pictures are done by various automotive artists that do commission work for R&T. I do believe that R&T has a resident artist on staff but they do buy work from freelancers too.

Just now a car drove slowly in front of my house and stopped. My window was open(so they could clearly see me) as I was on the computer. I peeked to look outside and the passenger of the car took a picture(I saw the flash) as I looked at them and drove off.

A: Maybe he works for google maps. Maybe it’s someone whose grandparents used to live in your house many years ago. Maybe there was something about the exterior he liked and he wanted to put a picture in a landscaping journal to use for future reference. There are many innocent reasons.

I hit a deer in my boyfriends car and the police don’t belive it. They came and took pictures of the car the next day, but the car was coverd with a tarp because it was raining. Nobody was home to give them permission. Are they allowed to do that and use it as evidence?
A: Yes they can. So, I’m guessing that you are suspected of hit and run and you told the police that you hit a deer? Smart. It is very easy to tell the difference between damage from a car and that from a deer. Impeding an investigation by lying is also against the law by the way.

Q: What would be a good spot to take pictures of a car?
I am looking to take some good pictures of my car and i cant decide on a good place. Should i look for a lot of outdoors stuff like trees nature and sky. Or how about old buildings or new infrastructure. Let me know photographers what you think would be a good spot. You don’t only have to decide between the couple i listed.
A: NONE of the nature things you mentioned. There is really nothing much worse than car shots among trees or in a park, or the worse of all, with water in the background. Cars don’t float, nor do they fly, so lots of sky in the background is also a poor choice. Cars belong on pavement, and that is where they should be shot. Now it is fine to have trees and such in the background if there is for example a curvy road leading into such a background.
Places that can really be great backgrounds for car shots include old drive ins, (both the movie and eating type drive ins), an old gas station, in the pits at a drag strip, in front of any type of plant that makes tires or car parts, (be sure and check with the management for permission to take a photo of your car there).
That should give you the basic idea. Just try to keep the setting CAR related. Sky, water, trees are not part of what a car is or where it belongs. Actually, an old, rather dilapidated building such as an abandoned gas station will make the car stand out and look even better. You don’t want the car having to compete with some kind of nature shot background.
