A: If u mean watch the screen while driving, then just ground the brake wire from the stereo wires and u can watch movies while u drive and not just when its parked. There should be a wire labeled brake wire in the stereo wires and u just ground it with the ground wire in the harness or ground to the vehicle chasis itself.

A) Yes I know it’s illegal to play videos on the front nav.
B) Is there a way to bypass the default security feature that disables the videos from playing while the car is moving?
A: You have to locate the wire that senses that the car is in park or that the EBrake is activated. Once you find this wire you will hook it to a simple switch with the other end hooked to a ground.
This will bypass the safety feature…you will likely have to toggle the switch from off to on to make it think you just put the EBrake on. Also keep the switch somewhat hidden in case you get pulled over so you can switch it back to legal mode.
Some older flip out displays do not require a “change of state” (you flipping the switch) and will always work if you just ground the wire….use a switch to cover both types.

I know this sounds like an awful idea but my son has a death wish and I don’t think he understands it. He was inches away from getting hit by a car going 30MPH. Literally inches and he had the nerve to call me a bitc’h for yelling at him to get out of the street and making him come inside. I want him to see what can happen to him. I want him to learn from others mistakes before it happens to him.

A: Please be aware: showing your child photos or videos of violent accidents, etc., under most state laws in the U.S., falls under the same laws that cover showing sexually explicit materials to a minor. Either case, if discovered by Child Protective Services, could result in criminal prosecution, loss of custody and/or jail-time. I recommend you find another way to get through to your child.
My recommendations: take your child to a traffic safety course for children. Inquire at your local police department, highway department, and/or Department of Public Safety. Any or all of these should have videos and there should be specialists in childhood education who can explain traffic safety and its importance to your child.
I would also like to encourage family counseling for you and your child to help reestablish your roles as parent and child so that in the future (a) YOU will have a better idea of productive ways to help your child, and (b) your CHILD will learn to respect you and respect your authority. Check your yellow pages for family counselors under ‘counseling’ and/or mental health (I realize this isn’t a mental health issue, but a lot of child psychologists and family therapists also help with these kinds of things)

There are SO many videos online of people standing on the side of the road in a rally car race and the car loses control and smashes them. Hasn’t anybody learned not to stand unprotected where cars are racing around curves?

A: To my knowledge none of the iphones have this capability (probably not what you wanted to hear). The best thing for what your trying to do is the Zune by Microsoft. It displays:Artist of song being played, any album art, name of album and name of song. You can set it to display all content directly on the screen of your Avic. You can store tons of content on the 30gb or 80gb version to play directly in your car. A lot of my faithful Apple friends hate anything made by Microsoft, but once they seen the amazing picture and sound quality produce by the Zune, they were sold. It’s Definitely the best MP3 Player for car audio.
